They are definitely sisters

The girls were being goofy one afternoon. Here are the two youngest girls dressed alike...you can definitely tell they are sisters!

Isn't Mozart SUPPOSED to be by a piano?

Our dear Mozart has discovered the piano. I think he looks good on it!

Our Poets

In school this spring the kids learned about poety. Then the library had their spring poetry contest. Christina won for her shape poem (about dragons of course) and Shayne won for a short poem on pigs. CLES also had 3 other winners (that left only one winner NOT from CLES) and 2 of those 3 were another brother/sister combo. Here are Stina and Shayne with the books they won in the poetry contest.

Christina on paper

One of the art projects Christina's class did this year was to make themselves out of paper. Christina is in the red shirt with all the dragons on it. The girl that is next to her is one of her best friends, Adriana. Here the pictures are on display at the Focus on Youth art show in May.

Magic School Bus

In June our local schools offer a Magic School bus ride. The kids get on a bus at the school that they will be attending kindergarten at and then travel around to different places in the community and get goodies along the way. The parents get little lessons as we went along, too, on how to give our kids the best start to school that we can. It was a fun morning. This years theme was animals and here is a picture of Vincent in his fish hat.

Nursery School Mother's Day Tea

In May Vincent's nursery school class had a Mother's Day program and tea.

Vincent actually WENT to soccer camp this year

Last year Vincent didn't do so good at soccer camp. He had a little temper problem going on and didn't feel like participating. This year he was out there and played his little heart out. It was a very warm week that first week of June....but he did GREAT!!! We may have a little soccer player in our midst.

Christina's Heritage Fair Project 2009

Ever since we went to Kelowna last summer when she learned about Ogopogo she knew she was going to do her Heritage Fair project on it. Here she is by her board in May at the Canyon Lister Elem. Heritage Fair.

Spokane Valley

In June we had a 'girls day' and went to Spokane Valley Washington for the day. The wildlife pictures were taken in the Cabela's store in Post Falls, Idaho. Christina and Meredith made Cat her first Build A Bear stuffie...and grey and pink cat now named KitKat.

View of Kootenay Lake from Blue Point Girl Guide Camp

I know it's been a while since I updated our blog. Life just gets in the way. I hope to have this updated totally here soon. The next several entries will not be in any order. Here are some pictures I took in May when we took the Sparks camping at our Girl Guide camp up at Kootenay Lake.
