Christina's First Basketball Game

This is Christina's first basketball game played at Adam Robertson Elementary on January 24th (she's in the black number 14). As it was their first game it didn't go well and they got beat pretty bad. I do have to say that they have gotten better as the season has gone on. Christina has scored in one other game that I didn't get to go to and video (I have Sparks the same time she has her games so Shawn gets to go to the games). At the end of this video clip you see the ball go out of bounds and everyone say "OH"...well...the ball bounced of Vincent's head. Since it did bounce off his head....he was fine. hahaha!!

Visit from Santa

At Vincent's Nursery school concert on Thursday morning a gentleman in a red suit came to visit and brought the kids little gifts. They were supposed to sit on his lap to get their gifts. Our children were the last ones, and well, this picture says a wailing cry.

Happy Be-lated Birthday Grandma from Sassatoon!

Sorry it's so late...but here it is!

The Holiday Train

All the years I missed seeing the Holiday Train when it would come to Carrington. We either had something going on at that time or it was TOO COLD to travel. So I had to move to BC to get to see it! It arrived yesterday at about 10am. We were their first stop of the morning. The Holiday Train is run by Canadian Pacific Railroad and is used to raise hunger awareness and help local food banks along the way. This was the first year that it actually stopped in Creston. Our mayor pulled some strings and got it here!! There was a great turn out, too. Most of the schools got to go. Christina's class was there. There was also an awesome performance by a band named Wide Mouth Mason that played some rockin' Christmas tunes with help from Melanie Doane on electric fiddle. So Grandma was right, it was an awesome experience and hope to see it again! Merry Christmas to all!

Happy Birthday little Cat!

Here's a few pictures from Cat's birthday. We didn't do anything too spectacular. The morning was quiet. Then in the afternoon we went skating. After that we came home, ate spaghetti and had ice cream cake. By the pictures I think she enjoyed it! For her present she got a little push cart that also converts to a little car. She really does like it but still prefers her walker. So all in all it was a very nice family day. So here are some pictures and a little video for you to enjoy of our day.
