The end of April 4 out of 5 of our children got the privilege of each letting a 1-2 year old Great White Sturgeon into the Kootenay River. Each fish was tagged and will be followed through its lifespan. Each child that let a sturgeon go got a number of the fish and the website to go to, to see where their fish was last spotted. The fish hatchery people have these releases all along the Kootenay River which begins in Glacier National Park in Montana. The scenery pictures were from that day....this area is called 'the flats.'
